Troubleshooting

Why are my incoming messages delayed?
Make sure your phone has an Internet connection (WiFi or active 2G/3G/4G/5G connection). You can check this by opening a browser and going to a website. If web pages work, but Tiger.do doesn't, then try the following:
  1. Make sure Restrict background data is turned off
  2. Make sure Restrict background data settings on your device is not enabled for Tiger.do and Google Services.
    1. Open device Settings.
    2. Go to Data usage.
    3. Scroll down and open Tiger.do data usage.
    4. Scroll down and make sure Restrict background data option is unchecked.
    5. Repeat the above steps for Google Services.
    6. Additionally, make sure Restrict background data is unchecked in Data usage >Menu Button.
You may just need to change the notification settings in Tiger.do
  1. Open Tiger.do.
  2. Pull out the navigation bar.
  3. Tap Visitor Alerts.
  4. In this menu, you can adjust the settings to your liking.
If messages are still taking too long to reach your phone We recommend that you:
  • Reboot the phone (Turn it OFF then ON).
  • Try a different connection. If you are connected to Wi-Fi, try Mobile Data or vice versa.
  • Reset app preferences by going to Settings > Apps > Menu Button > Reset app preferences.
  • Make sure to leave your phone plugged into a power source (to prevent power saving mode from activating) when connected to Wi-Fi while a mobile data connection is unavailable.
  • Sign out from Tiger.do Web by going to Tiger.do > Navigation Bar> Tiger.do Web > Sign out.
  • Try to install Push Notifications Fixer on your device and see if it helps.
  • If you are often connected to Wi-Fi, check your Wi-Fi sleep policy (Settings > Wi-Fi> Menu Button > Advanced > Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep) and make sure it is set to Always.
  • Delete and reinstall Tiger.do.
  • Uninstall any task killers. These will hinder the app from receiving messages when you are not in the app.

Why can't Tiger.do connect over this Wi-Fi?
When Tiger.do reports that you are unable to connect over a specific Wi-Fi connection, it is likely that you are on a captive Wi-Fi network. Captive Wi-Fi hotspots often require you to log in before being able to connect to the internet. If you are on a captive Wi-Fi, you have 2 choices:
  1. Disconnect from the Wi-Fi and use your mobile internet connection.
  2. Log into the Wi-Fi network. This can usually be accomplished by opening the browser on your phone and navigating to your home page.
  3. If you are logged into the system, and are still having trouble, please either disconnect from the Wi-Fi (and Forget the connection in your Wi-Fi settings), or contact the system administrator to make sure that secure connections are possible through that Wi-Fi hotspot. Note: Tiger.do does not support proxy connections.
